PRIVATE SKI LESSONS

Walden Cross Country offers private ski lessons for children and adults. These lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate or even advanced skiers who want to improve their technique. It’s a great opportunity to learn how to skate as well.

Please arrange your session directly with one of our qualified instructors. Their information is listed below in no particular order (they're all awesome!)

Trail Passes and equipment rentals are not included in the individual and group rates. Payment can be made at the chalet prior to your lesson.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Maddy Tremblay

Maddy has been skiing for 14 years and is the current head coach for the bunnies program. She skis for the Walden Nordic race team as well as the College Notre-Dame Nordic ski team. She is happy teaching classic skiing and skate skiing, individually or in groups and in both French and English.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Lauren Pineau

Lauren has been skiing for over 10 years and has skied provincially in various classic and skate races. Currently, she skis for the Walden Nordic Race Team and the Lockerby Composite Nordic Race Team. Lauren enjoys coaching, and each Saturday coaches the WCC jackrabbits during youth programs as well as assists the intermediate adult lessons. She is happy to teach classic skiing and skate skiing in groups or individually.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Owen Claridge

Owen has been skiing for over 3 years and has skied locally and provincially in various classic and skate races. Currently, he skis for the Walden Nordic Race Team and the Lo Ellen Park Nordic Race Team. Owen is familiar with coaching, and each Saturday coaches the WCC Lynx during youth programs. He is happy to teach classic skiing or skate skiing to families, groups or one-on-one. Unavailable for the rest of the 2023 ski season.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Megan Richardson

Megan has been skiing for over 10 years and is the current Youth Programs Coordinator at WCC. She is a former member of the Walden Cross Country race team. Megan is comfortable in both Classic and Skate skiing techniques. She can offer lessons in both English and French. Megan enjoys working with everyone and is always happy to help!

YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Dean Waddell

Dean has been skiing for 37 years and is 1 of the Track Attack coaches. He is a former Laurentian Nordic Racer and is a former Head Coach of Laurentian Nordic and the Varsity Ski Team. Dean is comfortable teaching both classic and skate at any level, and can offer race advice, technique critique or just help you on your first ski. Dean is lightly bilingual in French and enjoys working with any and all ages.
