VENUE
FACILITIES
Walden Cross Country offers 23 km of trails and a 3km lit trail. A modern, family friendly chalet and athletic training centre are on site. In addition, there will be a 16' x 32' hard top Gazebo with tarp walls with minimal heat also available for athletes.
More on facilities will be released at a later date.

*Please Note* Walden Cross Country operates Beaver Lake, a second ski area (classic only) 20km west of the Walden Trails on HWY 17. Racers may access this ski area free of charge. $10 trail passes are required for non-racers and can be purchased, cash only, using a drop box located at the Beaver Lake trailhead.

PARKING
Parking is very limited at the site. We ask that drivers drop off racers, family members etc. at our site and park at the overflow parking sites: Penguin Research Centre (500 m east of the Walden Trails on RR 55). Please take care when walking to/from parking areas, especially when crossing RR 55. Street parking in the subdivision will be restricted in the immediate vicinity of the Chalet to avoid congestion and as a courtesy to our community neighbours; please respect our residential neighbours with this request. WAXING FACILITIES
The Groomer Shed (insulated and heated) and smaller buildings will be used for waxing. Table space for teams will be allotted based on the number of racers. Wax trailer parking requests should be submitted by coaches when they register on Zone4. Teams who bring waxing tents/trailers should bring their own generator.

MEDICAL
Qualified first aid personnel will be onsite Feb. 20-22
The nearest hospital (Health Sciences North) is located approximately 15 km from the Walden Trails in Sudbury.

FOOD
Light snacks will be provided for racers on the official training day and both race days. Light concessions will be available for purchase in the Walden Chalet from Friday to Sunday. Chili and soup will be available for purchase Saturday and Sunday. Water bottles may be filled onsite from the city water supply (bottled water is NOT sold at our facility).

40 Studio Suites for January 15 and 16, 2027
Room Type: Studio Suite with 2 queen beds, living area with a dining table and 4 chairs, plus a soft side chair with ottoman and a full kitchen
Rate: $220.00* per night plus applicable tax.
Pet Fee: There is a pet fee of $30.00 per night plus HST only up to a maximum of $150.00 per stay plus HST only.
Hotel Amenities: The TownePlace Suites Sudbury is an all suites hotel. Each studio suite has an open concept with a full kitchen, bedroom and living area. A daily hot buffet breakfast is available for all guests of the hotel. WI-FI is complimentary and available throughout the hotel, as well as an enhanced option for a fee. Our indoor swimming pool has a 2-storey waterslide** and a hot tub.
The fitness room is available 24-hours.
We offer plenty of free, self parking.
Our rooms feature an Entertainment System with pay per view movies and access to any streaming service that you subscribe to.
The Office is our intimate lounge bar, offering cold beverages, made to order fresh pizza’s, nacho’s, chicken wings and other delicious appetizers.
Located just off the breakfast and lounge area is an outdoor patio with 2 Weber BBQ’s. We supply the BBQ tools and spices.
We also have onsite coin operated laundry facilities.
Hotel Location: We are located close to many local and chain restaurants, as well as shopping and entertainment.

Courtesy block of 40 rooms, with a mix of Double Queen and Standard King rooms.
Qualified teams would contact me directly to set up their room block and receive the booking information.
We can offer a group rate of $159 plus tax per room, per night, with a 48-hour individual cancellation policy. The rate will include:
